Great summer treks in the Ecrins National Park

The Ecrins National Park is famed for its long distance mountain trek called the Tour des Ecrins or GR54.

The full circuit takes 10-12 days and is known as the best mountain walk in the French Alps. The trek crosses many high cols (up to 2800m) offering unrivalled views on the Ecrins but keeps to good paths. Overnight stays are in mountain huts and gites – all with great services and food.  Shorter variants are possible but the complete tour is 220km.

French Alps Trekking offer fully guided trips on the GR54 and through out the Ecrins and southern French Alps. Best months are June to Sept. Contact Darren via email: drdarrenmcaulay@gmail.com for more info or to book your trip.
